One of my boasts is that I am an Eagle Scout.  Scouting taught me a lot of good stuff and some not so good stuff too, but it did get me started into a leadership track and it opened me up to some fantastic experiences.  One of them was when I was 13 and allowed to go to the U.S.  National Jamboree in Idaho in 1969.  I was there on July 20,  the day Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon.  It was quite an accomplishment, but they had televisions set up all over the place for the 40,000 scouts to watch.  That night they showed it to us again on a giant screen and Apollo 8 astronaut Frank Borman was there to explain it all to us.  It was declared a National Holiday.  It was a very BIG DEAL and one of the defining moments for young people my age.  
The reason I am writing this is because today I am at the same exact spot in Farragut State Park in northern Idaho. The beautiful Lake Pend Orielle.  I am here for a Counseling experience in Spok...
